Updated Pictures

4 1/2 months. Presley is getting bigger by the day. She has come to like her bumbo and friends she plays with on her playyard. She has come to the point where she really doesnt like to be in her swing. Presley loves to be on the move and we are all getting a workout from that. She has finally started to remain calm once we put her on her tummy but that doesnt last too long sometimes. She has almost rolled over from her back to her tummy but her elbow is keeping her from doing that. It will happen soon. She is a blast and we look forward to that day where she rolls over onto her tummy..More to come later..

Presley's First Christmas

Well it has been awhile since the last post so i thought i would update everyone. Katie and I got to realize how crazy the holidays are going to be..actually they werent to bad. We spent xmas eve at Gary and Karens. We had such a great time and presley got spoiled by all the grandparents.."like we didnt see that coming" Xmas day was spent at our house with Colleen and Mel. We had a good day and presley enjoyed all the new things she got from grandma Colleen and grandpa Mel. The day after xmas we headed down to Austin MN to have a Hermann family christmas. Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Tim, Uncle Adam and Aunt Becky were all there. We spent the weekend down there and we had a good time. Presley enjoyed all the new gifts and she enjoyed spending time with everyone, we did also. We headed back on Sunday with a stop in Burnsville to have lunch with Kristi, John, Anna and Jerome. It had been awhile since they had seen presley and they were shocked with how big she is getting. Overall it was a great first Christmas for Presley.

Happy Turkey Day!!!!

What a great thanksgiving this year. Presley enjoyed every minute of it. Katie's brother Matt and his family came up from North Carolina for the holiday. They also got to meet Presley for the first time. Presley really enjoyed it. She got to meet her cousins Olivia and Chandler. They were so great with her and I have a feeling they will get along great in the years to come. This year thanksgiving was up in Monticello MN with Katie's side of the family. We spent the early part of thanksgiving over at Grandpa Gary and Grandma Karen's house. The house was full of family and they all couldn't get enough of Presley. When it was time to eat even Presley got to eat, out of the bottle of course. After the meal was over we got a few pictures of Presley with her cousins. They are all so cute.
After the gathering at Gary and Karen's we headed over for round 2 at Great Grandma Lynnea's. Grandma Colleen and Grandpa Mel were there and we had another great meal, although it was alot of food. Presley was happy as can be over there too. She played with her cousins and then she was so pooped that she had to take a nap. So we put her in the new swing that Grandma Colleen got her. She didnt waste anytime falling asleep.

Overall it was a great thanksgiving and we hope everyone enjoyed the holiday as well....

Halloween 2008- Presley the Red Hot Chili Pepper

Halloween has come and gone. Katie and I took Presley over to Monticello on friday night. Grandpa Gary and Grandma Karen were the first stop. Although Presley was not excited to be in her costume, we did get a few minutes to laugh and enjoy this one. She was adorable. The next stop was to Great Grandma's house. Grandma Colleen and Grandpa Mel were there along with Great Grandma Lynnea. She was extra fussy so needless to say Presley didnt spend much time in her costume over there. Overall it was a good first halloween. We are looking forward to her next year..Maybe some trick or treating will be involved

Great Grandma Lynnea

Presley is fortunate to live only about 12 miles from her Great Grandma Lynnea. She loves to visit her in Monticello, and has even gone on a lunch outing already!

Road Trip

This weekend we headed down to Austin, MN to visit Grandpa and Grandma Hermann. We arrived in Austin on Friday in the early evening and it was all eyes on Presley. Then on Saturday morning Dad, Mom, Presley and Grandma Kathy headed over to see Great Grandpa Hermann. He was so excited to meet his great granddaughter. He couldn't believe how small she was and he had a great time holding her.

After visting with GGH, Mom, Dad, and Presley packed up the car and headed to Northfield, MN to visit Great Grandma Engen. The moment we got in the car Presley fell asleep. In just over an hour, we arrived in Northfield. GGE was so happy that we were able to stop by so she could meet Presley. GGE couldn't believe how much she looks like her daddy and she kept telling Presley the things that her daddy liked when he was just a peanut like her. We spent time together talking about all sorts of different things. It was so cool to see GGE and Presley interact.

When it was time to go we packed up the car again and headed back to the cities. It took Presley all of a minute to fall asleep once we got back into the car. She had had a long day with all the new faces she met. On our way home, Katie and I decided to stop and have some dinner while the little one was sleeping. Presley slept through the entire meal, which was nice.

Overall it was a great trip and we look forward to doing it again.

Uncle Adam and Aunt Becky

Adam and Becky came down to Elk River on the NDSU Football bye week to meet their niece. It was so exciting to see their reaction to her. Presley greeted Adam with an explosive blowout in her diaper. Adam's face was priceless!! Becky was awesome with her too. The way she held presley and talked to her made us realize how lucky she is to have an aunt and uncle like these two. They also brought Presley her first New England Patriots outfit. Although it is still a bit big for her, Dad can see many sundays together watching the patriot games in their gear.
